Reasons for notifying the request for using of right to exempt tax for SSF/RMF to Asset Management Company
Revenue Department has notification of Director General of Revenue Department regarding income tax No. 414 and 415, specifying for buying of investment units from 1 January 2022 onwards, income earner must inform his request to use the right to exempt income tax to the Asset Management Company, (“AMC”) that he bought investment units in Retirement Mutual Fund (“RMF”) and Super Savings Funds (“SSF”), specifying that Asset Management Company that receives the notice of request must submit the information to Revenue Department in electronic file.

Channel for informing about the request of customer
Customer buying investment units in SSF, or RMF from 1 January 2022 onwards, wishing to use the right to reduce tax, must notify his request to send information of his buying investment units to Asset Management Company that you buy investment units. The customer cannot notify directly to Revenue Department by using the certificate of former investment unit buying because Revenue Department will receive only information and evidence of investment buying from Asset Management Company directly.

Will Customer receive certificate of SSF, or RMF buying in the form of paper?
Krungthai Asset Management Co., Ltd. would like to inform you, the investment unit holder that from 1 January 2023 onwards, Asset Management Company would like to cancel sending of SSF or RMF buying certificate in form of paper.

Shall customer register to notify his request every year?
Notifying about the request of the investment unit holder does not have necessity to notify every year. There will be only once in notifying about his request that can be used forever, until the customer will notify about the change of request to the Asset Management Company.

In case there is no notifying of request within the year of buying of SSF or RMF
In case the customer does not notify about his request within the year buying SSF or RMF, the customer can request for the Asset Management Company to deliver and disclose the information of past investment by method of communicating to the Asset Management Company. In case there is request for the Asset Management Company to send the past information to Revenue Department, the time to spend for doing is longer than normal, because it is the case that the Asset Management Company will send information to Revenue Department outside the normal delivery time.

How many years can customer request the Asset Management Company to deliver information to Revenue Department?
Customer can request the Asset Management Company to deliver the past information for not over 10 tax years including the current tax year, starting in the tax year of 2022 as the first tax year of delivering tax by using electronics.
